Problem with loading photos

i have my photos on various CDRW s and all of a sudden the cd rom wont load
them on to my pc. It is playing dvds and other discs , but just my photos. As
i put the disc in , it doesnt start up straight away , then after about 3 or4
minutes a thing called auto play comes up , then it reads the disc and a
message comes up saying cannot detect camera or scanner wizard (???)
Do you think CD ROM is knackered , this is a new one put in about 3 months
ago , Should i reinstall it do you think??

Hi Bacon,

Insert the cd in question and hold the Shift down to keep Autorun from
starting.
Now go to My Computer and right click on the CD Drive and select
Explore. Can you view the image file now?

Hi Bacon,

Here are a couple of possible fixes.

Empty the contents of the documents and settings\username\local
settings\temp folder.
A reboot may be necessary to remove all the files and folders.

These files are hidden and will have to be unhidden.
Go to the Control Panel/Folder Options/View tab, set it to "Show
hidden
files and folders" and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files
[recommended]". Also uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types".

Right click on the IE icon on the desktop and select properties and
click on Delete Files under "Temporary Internet Files" and again with
a check mark on "Delete all offline contents". Next click on Settings
in the same section and reduce the "Amount of disk space to use".
With a broadband connection 20mb's should be sufficient.

If there are other user account test to see if the same error occurs.
