Problem With .JPG Files

I have a probelm with my .JPG file in wondow XP home edition. whenever
i try to save any picture image there is no option for .jpg file to
save. i have only 2 option bitmap or txt i don;t have .JPG option. can
anyone help me how to solve this problem?

The only way I know to do it is to open the file in a program that supports
..jpg files, like Paint Shop Pro, and save it as a .jpg from there...........

From which application are you trying to save it?
(Cut and paste to a Paint program, save as JPG from there)
