I recently copied my entire ppt2007 project from my inbternla (NTFS) hard
drive to an externaL fat32 HARD DRIVE. Now I find that I can no longer
insert pictures or videos into my PPT project. PPT2007 crashes saying that
it encountered problems and shuts down. Jost out of curiosity, I copied the
same project to an NTFS external hard drive and encountered no problems.

Unfortunately the FAT32 drive is my preferred drive as it is much larger.
What is the problems and is there a solution?

Thnaks,

Vic

What is the size of the PPT file on the drive? When you attempt to open the
file on the FAT32 drive does it give any error messages or only when you
attempt to modify the file? Exactly what does the error message say?

Here is an update. Yes, I had thought about path name lengths, etc. In the
end I just recopied from my internal hard drive to the FAT32 drives, after
deleting the old files, and this time all worked fine. Maybe the files had
not copied just right the first time. Thank you all for your help.
