Problem with IEEE Firewire card

Hi all,

Just bought a video editing package (Dazzle Video Editor) from Compu-Smart
c/w Video Studio software and an IEEE 1394 Firewire card. The box says it
runs with Windows 2000, which I have installed. When I installed the card,
Windows recognized the device and installed the drivers for it, yet device
manager tells me that it's not working properly. Windows suggests I try
reinstalling the driver, which I've done to no avail. This was a clearance
(but new) item in a retail box, but apparently the Dazzle product is now
supported by Pinnacle Systems and I can't find any reference to this
specific product to download the latest drivers. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

There is no 'drivers' that I know of per say to download. It's an OHCI
compliant device and uses windows supplied drivers. I'd try moving the card
to another PCI slot and see if it sorts itself out. The TI chipset cards
seem to be the most stable. What version of DX are you using? You'll need
8.1+ to have the good DV codecs..
