Problem with font size

V

I recently had viruses on the computer. In the past, the font size on the
screen was unusually small, perhaps size 6, and when I would type into an
email or form the letters would mix up incorrectly. Now supposedly the virus
has been removed, but the font size on the screen is still small.

Changing the size in the Display Properties of the control Panel only
affects the letters at the top of the windows and I'm speaking of the fonts
on the actual web pages. How can I correct this?

Where in the Display Properties are you doing the changes? Did you try
to change it in the Settings > Advanced > General tab?

John,

Changing this setting enlarged my icons and the type size of the file names.
It also increased the size of the font at the top of the windows. Had to
change it back to Normal.

It doesn't change the font size on any web page I attempt to go to. This is
the problem - the font size on the web pages is about 6. Does anyone know
what i can do about this?

You don't say which browser you're using but most had a text size
option. In IE it's under view or page depending on the version.
Also if you have a scroll button on your mouse you can hold down the
Ctrl key and scroll to increase and decrease font size on web pages.

Thanks so much. I use both browsers. Was in Mozilla at the time s I used the
zoom option to increase the size. Will use your first recommendation to fix
IE. Thanks again.

Okay,

This "fix" is only temporary. Every time I go to a different web page I have
to readjust the screen by zooming in. I have never had this problem before
since I have had the computer. There must be a way to stabilize the viewing
properties. Anyone have ideas?

I checked both of them. Mozilla has a default set at Serif, Times Roman,
Arial, and then Courier. IE is set at Times Roman and Courier in a size that
is probably 12pt. But still, the fonts are not appearing this way on the
screen.
