Problem with finished pic after cropping

I cropped a picture and uploaded it for processing as a 4x6. Before I
uploaded it, it looked great. When it came back as a 4x6 it had part of
someone's face cut off. When I questioned them they said to get it the way I
want it i need to order it as a panoramic and it will be about 4x8 instead of
4x6. I am confused (as usual) because it looked great when I sent it. Is
there anyway to make sure I'm going to get what I want before I send an order
in? I thought I did have a way to verify but appears I didn't. As always
thanks. DOROTHY

Hi Dorothy,

Open your image in Digital Image Pro 10
and go to...Format / Crop / Canvas...

Open the "Select a proportion" drop window
and choose 4x6 for portrait orientation or
6x4 for landscape orientation.

Now, left click / drag a box around the portion
of the image you wish to retain. After releasing
your mouse button, you can resize the box by
left click / dragging the *corner* handles.
(If you drag the side, top or bottom handles you
will lose the 4x6 aspect ratio and it will only
say "Custom" in the "Select a proportion" field)

You can nudge the box into position with your
arrow keys. Be sure the complete selection
box is within the perimeter of the image and
not over the edge into the scratch area.

When you are satisfied with the selection...be
sure it still says 4x6 or 6x4 in your "Select a
proportion" field and click...Done.

Now you have an image that should print
successfully as a 4x6 or 6x4.
