A site needs a photo sent of me in order to be in a contest. The site says:
We request the files uploaded be in the jpg format. Next to that it says: (An
example size is 4x6 inches at 72 dpi - low resolution.) So on the site I
clicked on browse and selected a photo from my pictures folder. It shows
picture005.jpg when it brings it up, but it will not submit my form. It will
take a couple mins. then the page shows something in red about the picture
but goes real fast so I can't read it then the page is blank and says done.
Do you have any suggestions how to fix my proplem?
*But when I scroll over my picture in my folder it says JPEG image does that
still mean its in jpg format?

Thanks greatly appreciated

What is the extension on your image file name?
Is it filename.jpg ? .jpg (JPEG) is the format
they are asking for.

Maybe your image is too large...there is a free
resizer you can download from the following site:

OK, go to the following link and download and
install: ImageResizer.exe

http://tinyurl.com/36n

Then you can open any folder that contains
images and you will have an option to resize.
Just right click the selected image files and
choose Resize Pictures from the menu. You
can select one image or a whole group.

The program will place the resized copies in
the folder with your originals.
(Tip: *Never* overwrite your originals)

To insure that images in both portrait and
landscape orientation are resized to the
same dimensions...go to...Advanced...
and enter the largest number in both fields.
IOW...for 600x800...enter 800 in both fields.
