Problem with Error-Checking (scandisk)

Marsha

Hi,
When I try to run Error-checking (scandisk) on Windows XP the blue screen
comes up & it says, "Checking file system on C Cannot open volume for
direct access".
Then the computer continues to boot up.
I have run the error checking feature before with no problems, this has just
started & will not complete the task. I need help. What can I do to get
this problem corrected?
Thanks,
Marsha

I think I just found my answer, ZA5. I will go see what FAQ in ZA has to
say about this. I've been reading about a problem with ZA5, but did not know
what the exact problem was, now I do.
Thanks,
Marsha

That's it. Things are fine with ZA 5 *until* you have need to CHKDSK,
when this error arises. MSoft have the problem under active research to
try to come up with a fix
