problem wiht database with previous version and version 2000

[nuradila]

created a database using previous version and recently
installed version 2000 hoping that it would be better. im
not an expert in computers but trying my best to
understand. but the problem im facing now is that i can't
run the program which needs the maccess to work because it
is not able to convert or enable MDE file? what is an MDE
file? besides that, the computer also has moffice 2000
small business but maccess is not included. does it mean
that the previous version of maccess is from moffice 97?
what do i do about to make it work (with the usage of
version 2000) as before without losing all the data in the
computer? even when installing ther 97 version, will the
database be able to open. i need help urgently. thank you.
