Problem - Using Windows to burn CDs

I have recently started using the 'drag and drop' approach of Windows XP to
burn my files to CDs (I used to use other specific programs). However, now I
am having problems with these burnt CDs. My DVD/CD read drive doesn't
recognise them (the CD write drive does) after I have finished, and there
seem to be other issues when I use them on other computers.

Anyone have any ideas why?

Nope, but anytime I have problems with a CD the first thing I do is
install forceASPI http://force_aspi_18.w.interia.pl/ kind of a fix
all.

Short story: XP talks to the ASPI, and the ASPI talks to the CD.

It's a layer that sits between the two
