Problem using two monitors and Vista Ult.

Here's hoping someone out there can help me...

I have a fresh install of Vista Ultimate on an AMD Athlon 64 4200
with
2 megs of ram and runing GForce 8 series video card. I have two dell
19 inch flat panels conected to it. If I only have one monitor
conected to the system everything works fine. If i conect the second
monitor, boot the system and configure the second monitor then reboot
the system, both monitors go blank after the "loding windows"
screan.

The only way to get the system back is to reboot the system in safe
mode uninstall the vid drivers, unplug one of the montiors and then
reboot. Then the system comes back up fine. By the way when booting
into safe mode with both monitors plugged in, they both work.

I have removed the vid card and replaced it with a gforce 6800 and
have the same problem. I have used both the latest nvidia drivers
and
the beta drivers. Each time I did this i followed the directions for
uninstalling the original drivers and reinstalling the new drivers.

If anyone out there has any data on how to fix this please, please
let
me know.

Thanks all,
Steve

Hi,

I have 4 monitors installed.
First time detection and installation is verry slow,
screen go's blanc for about 3-4 minutes.

A driver update from ATI does the same:
it's reïnstalling 'hardware' and i have to wait, and wait before the
screen(S)
comes back.

Maby be patient? :)
