Problem Solved

It took me awhile but I finally discovered why my .wmv files from DL.TV
would not play right anymore using PowerDVD. I was using CCC, but a few days
ago went back to the old ATI Control Panel. I was looking through the
settings and I discovered under the Options tab that there was a setting
called "WMV Acceleration" I unchecked the box, and now the files play
perfect like they used to when I had my 9800pro.
The problem I was having was that the files would play, but the color would
shift from normal to bright red, then click back to normal. This happened
every couple of sec.
It drove me nuts trying to figure it out, and all the searches for help I
did never turned this up. JLC

Hmm, for you the colors toggle between normal to bright red. For me the
colors turn psychedelic with bright red, bright green, etc. However, if I
turn off "video mixing render" (VMR) in Windows Media Player or Media Player
Classic, the image is back to normal.

Unchecking the box could slow down WMV9 clips if they are high resolution
(like 1920x1080).
