Didn't like Vista. Restored XP. When I turn on computer and XP loads, I get
an window that says "User Environment, Windows cannot load the user's
profile. Windows will log in using default profile. Then I can't access my
documents, and when I click start, it won't display any programs.

You may have a profile corruption, so try to create a new profile and see if
you can open folders okay in it, if yes then copy all the data from the old
corrupt profile to the new one.
How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile
