I have never experienced this problem previously, Shut down system lastnight
withot incident, brought up this a.m., at logon, received the following:
(1st Dialog Box): User Environment
1. "Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this
error, insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile, if this
problem persists, contact your administrator." (Note: my login is "the
administrator" password).
(2nd Dialog Box): "windows is logging you on with a temporary profile.
Changes to this profile will be lost when you log off."
I have tried system restore without success, How can I return to a properly functioning log on, I have an account set up for my significant other, and it has not been affected by the above, log's in normally! (Note: also have Norton 360 installed on the computer).
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!!!

That can happen if the profile is corrupt or if the user's permissions
were revoked or changed on his profile folder. See if this can help:

How To Restore a User Profile in Windows Server 2003

The article was written for Server 2003 but it's the same thing for
Windows XP. First, verify that you have Full Control Permission for
your User Profile Folder, that is explained in the article. If you have
full control on the profile folder and the problem persists then the
profile is corrupt, you will have to create a new one.
