Problem linking Win 98 to 2000

Michael

I just recently upgraded my two computers at home. One
from 95 -> 98 and the other from 98 -> 2000. I have them
on a router in a peer to peer network. Both computers
recognize one another and my 2000 can fully access the 98

Whenever my 98 tries to access my 2000 machine, a box pops
up requesting access to /my2000computer//IPC$ and it needs
a password. The knowledge base says that I have to start
Net Logon, but it won't let me. Can anybody help me?

Common problem, methinks! You need to create the windows 98 user on the
windows 2000 pc. So say you're logged onto the 98PC as 'Michael', with no
password, you need to create a user called 'Michael' with no password on the
win2000 machine.
