One of our PCs has developed a problem with opening links in new Internet
Explorer browser windows.
If I click on a link from an email attachment, or a link in an explorer
window that opens in a new window, or right click a link and select Open In
New Window, in each case a new IE window opens but then just hangs; no page
loads. If I then click "Stop" in the new window, then refresh, the page now
loads successfully.
I've tried installing Win98 and reinstalling IE, the latest version from
Microsoft's site, but this made no difference.
I didn't see any option to totally uninstall IE so I could reinstall it
afresh - is this possible in Win98?
While I'm here, is there any way to remove the "branding" on the Browser?
We installed IE from a disk from our old ISP and it has their logo all over
it, which I'd like to get rid of
TIA
