Problem in pasting a pst file

"I am using outlook 2003 at the desktop in my office. As I was travelling I
made a copy of the pst file in a USB flash drive so that I can use it in my
laptop and send and receive mails. When I returned to my office I tried to
copy the pst file from USB flash drive and paste it in the desktop. While
doing the pasting I cancelled "paste" by mistake. Then I found that the pst
file in my desktop has been deleted.

Can I recover the deleted file in the desktop?

Can't you just copy (drag-and-drop) it again from the flash drive? Or if
it's still on the clipboard, paste it again?
