Problem hard to explain...

Not real sure about how this happened, but here goes...
My daughter received some pictures thru email that had a very large file
size. She wanted to send them to me to fix for her. When she started to
email them, the computer asked her a question (she can't remember exactly
what it asked)...
Anyway, to make a long story short, her computer will now only send pictures
as code. Helllllllllp! Does anyone understand this, and if so, how I can
tell her to get it back to normal so she can send them to me?!?!? Anything
technical, and I'm lost....
Thanks for any help you can give...

what probably happened is that
the computer asked if you wanted the pictures be made
smaller for emailing or wanted them sent in the original
size, eg "very large file size"

it may be she said send in the original size and
it may have overwhelmed the system. but
it hard to say if the sizes overloaded the
disk or crashed the registry.

if outlook crashed it can be easily repaired
via the repair and detect option which is either found
under the help or via add/remove programs under
the microsoft office line item.
this is easy and wont hurt anything if initiated.

another is to go to start then run and type-in cleanmgr
however, these are some fixes that can be manually takened

but i suggest for ease of use to utilize a simple
freeware called ccleaner from filehippo.com

It has 2 options that clean up the disk and clean up
the registry. This is really helpful and will do a thorough
job. But it also has options to skip over specific items,
like browser history, etc. So if these items/options are relied
upon by the user then uncheck them so that the cleaner can
skip them.

But if not, then everything that is considered not required for optimal
performance will be cleaned up.

after taking any of the steps above your should do a reboot.

another suggestion would
be that instead of your daughter sending you the pics
that she instead sends you the links to them.

this is helpful if her pc is unreliable. and
posting the pics online somewhere will be better
not only for her system but easier for you to access them.

there are online sites that store pics for free or
for a charge. so look into this overlooked service
that is likely to be available via microsoft groups or
yahoo picture storage, etc.....

I think myprivateworld
has unlimited storage for 1 dollar a year and
caters to adults. But it can be used for
regular stuff too.....

walmart has a online photo site too,
so this might work as an inbetween as well.
