Problem Capturing from Video Device - "The video device is currently in use."

Processor: 2.5 GHz
Motherboard: ASUS Model: P4T533
Memory: 512 MB RAMBUS RAM
OS: Windows XP Pro
Camera: Sony DCR-TRV11

Whenever I try to capture from video device I get the
following messages:

"The video device is currently in use. Close any other
application that is using the device and try again."

"The video device cannot be used at this time because
there has been an error when starting the device."

There doesn't seem to be anything else plugged into the
com port other than the camera.

There is two serial ports. I've tried changing the serial
port settings in the CMOS, and still get the same message.

Any solution for this problem would be appreciated.

TIA

You really need to use firewire (i-link / ieee1394) to transfer video.

Out of interest, what is it connected to at the camcorder end?
