Problem:ActiveSync asks to create partnership

I had to perform a hard reset on my windows mobile 2003 device. (iPAQ h2215)
When I try to sync it ActiveSync says I must Create a new partnership. (new name)
I want to use existing name and settings and restore the handheld.
What do I do ?
