"privilege is not held by the client" at logon

Hello all,

I've have recently run into a strange new problem on a
friends computer. Here's what happens -

I boot. posts. Windows xp pro. then it starts loading
the gui. At this point it says, "starting windows"... (no
welcome screen) then it automatically loads the default
user. It then says "loading personal settings" but at
that moment, another windows pops up labled "user
environment". It says, "windows cannot load the users
profile but is logged you on with the default profile for
this system DETAIL - a required privilege is not held by
the client"

It then proceeds to give a "blue screen of death" and
restarts. The blue screen flashes by so fast, however, i
am unable to read it.

any ideas?

I own XP Home and I seem to be having the exact same problem, well minus the "blue screen of death".

It only stops my user with admin from logging on.The other account works fine.

Maybe this info will help, srry man.

create a new user with the admin acount, and delete the
crap one. but i don't know how i would do that! anyone

Oh yeah, did'nt think about that... reboot and when the computer is booting keep tapping F8. There should be an administrator account you can log into. Try that.

Hope I was of some help.

Try starting in safe mode, this will give you access to the ADMIN
account
