Printing WinXP -> Win2000Pro

Hi,

I want to print from 1 PC with WinXP that's
connected to another PC with Win2000Pro
with a shared printer installed but it won't work.
I need to go to My Network Places, double-click
on the icon representing the Win2000Pro PC
and type in a username/password. Then it works.
How do I skip the login phase? There must be a way
how to print without this procedure.

You have 2 options. One is to make sure the accounts on the two PCs match,
including passwords. The second options, easier but less secure, is to
enable the Guest account on the Win2000 PC.
