Printing to Okidata ML590

I have set up a report (packing slip) to print to a Okidata ML590
dot matrix printer.

Problem: I can not retain top of form settings . If I print page 1 it will
print ok
The next packing slip should start at the top of the next form but it
doesn't.
Needless to say each successive page creeps up .

Has anyone experienced this problem with dot matrix printers?
If I direct the job to a laser printer it works .

Help my users want to hang me!

Most of the world has moved to ink and laser for such tasks. Without a
*very* high speed printer it is faster to print multiple copies than one and
far cheaper.

The first thing to look for is having your form length and your page length
the same. This will toss an extra linefeed in. Turn off the form length in
the Oki if you can or fiddle with the form length.
There also may be a problem with your top of form.

All these can be shut off but usually default if the printer is turned off
or used for something else so sending the code before printing the form is a
good idea.

Everyone who has worked with dot matrix printers has had this problem.
Sometimes it is very hard to solve.
Incidentally if that thing ever dies hit the thrift stores for replacements.
