Printing

Hi All,

I wonder if anyone has come across this problem before.

I have a client that installed a dot matrix printer and Laser printer, let's
say an "Epson FX 100+" and a "HP LaserJet 4050". He then create a form
called "Test" with page size 21 by 14 cm. He assigns this to the FX-100+
whiles the Laser I change to A4 and make it my default printer. When he
prints form any (and I mean any) app the default printer gets displayed in
"Print" popup box. He then choose the FX-100+ and it's assumed the A4
setting, i.e. lost the Test page setting for this printer.

To make matters worse, we have tried with two laser printers and set the
paper to one has A4 and the other Letter. The same thing happens. Also tried
with two Dot Matrix printer drivers. Also the same thing. Which ever driver
is default seems to override the printer's page size when selected this way.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Probably you changed the settings in the properties page,
general, printing preferences!

You have to change it in the properties page, Advanced,
Printing defaults, Advanced

Change it overthere and it should be ok

Correct. This is one of the annoyances with NT operating system vs. the
DOS varieties. The default printers parpersize is used. Change default
printers, THEN open the application and all will be good.
