Printing from RD

Wade Rocco

Hey All,

I hope I'm in the right forum. I have a box (Server 2003) that's going to
run term services, hosting connections for about 20 remote employees. I'm
testing now, and I have a Win2K (All remote machines are 2K Pro) machine
that will not connect its local printers to a session. I enabled it on the
client side and double-checked what I thought I should on the server side,
to no avail.

Is this a Win2K incompatibility?? Or am I missing some glaringly obvious
detail??

Thanks in advance!!!

Wade

Check the EventLog on the Terminal Server to see the reason why the
printer is not redirected.
Can be a problem with a non-standard port, or a non-compatible
printer driver.
Depending on what the problem is, foillow the instructions here:

302361 - Printers That Use Ports That Do Not Begin With COM, LPT,
or USB Are Not Redirected in a Remote Desktop or Terminal Services
