Printer sharing from XP Home to 98

XP Home machine info. Guest account is enabled. An account has been
created that matches the username/password on the Win98 machine.
File/printer sharing is enabled and the individual printer has been
shared. Workgroup names match. XP machine can see and navigate the
Win98 machines files/folders over the network.

Win98 machine info: When running Add New Printer, I can see the XP
machine listed, but when I click the XP machines name to expand, I get
the message, 'No permission to access this resource' or something
close to that. In Network Neighborhood, both the XP machine and the
Win98 machine appear. I can click the Win98 icon and see the
files/folders. When I click the XP machine icon I get the same 'No
permission' message. I only want to share the printer from XP to 98.

What am I missing here besides XP Pro?
thanks,
dick

Dick,

normally one doesn't need XP Pro just for file or printer
sharing.

Have you run the network wizard (to be found on the XP
computer)? Perhaps this could already solve the problem.

Those 2 solutions don't apply since TCP connections through ICS on the
WinXP machine work fine. The 98 box has no problem using the
internet. However, one of the other suggestions on that page show
promise and I'll try it as soon as I can get back to the user machine.
