"printer settings could not be saved"

When I try to share my printer (hp 6110), XP home
says "printer settings could not be saved. Operation
could not be completed."

Any ideas?

I'm a professional networking guy - so I do have the
basics covered - i *think*! hehe

I reinstalled the drivers after uninstalling and
rebooting. I also logged into a clean admin account. I
also shut down all processes not associated with the
system. I scanned for viruses and spyware. Lets see...
what else.... well that might be it. Oh, I am logged in
as an admin...

Have you run the Network Sharing Wizard?

What is the share name for the device?

If you type "net share" at a command line does this share name already
exist?
