Printer Port creation Error

While in the process of setting up a printer port for a new Canon
copier/printer Multi-Function Unit (MFU) I received the error "Error loading
the TCP MIB library" from one of the units I was installing. I looked up the
possible solution (KB261302) and it advised that I remove or rename the files
Wsnmp32.dll, Ntprint.dll, Tcpmib.dll, Mgmtapi.dll, or Snmpapi.dll from the
%SystemRoot% folder if present.

Checked for these files in the path indicated and they were not there but
the error message remains and I am unable to create the TCP Port needed for
printer connectivity. I did however find the referenced files in the
%SystemRoot%\System32 folder but my understanding is that this is where they
are supposed to be.

Any assistance that can be offered is greatly appreciated; thank you.

Can you manually create a standard TCP/IP port (a bogus one) as a test?
