Printer message appears in different user account

I am running XP home with SP2. When trying to print on my HP Photosmart 3180
in double sided printing mode, the printer sends a message to flip, turn and
re-insert the pages to print the second side.
The problem is that the message appears in my kids session when I print, and
vice -versa when they print!
To complete the job I have to switch users, clik continue in the instrution
box and come back.
Since my session is password protected the kids cannot switch to my session
to continue.
Thanks

I've have seen a similar problem with a different HP Photosmart printer with
respect to the print preview window.

I think it uses the first interactive session. For example, in this case,
did you log in before your kids? You could try logging in as the user who
will be printing first.

Yes, this is an issue with the print driver. HP will need to fix this.
