ANYBODY? I HAVE RECENTLY TRIED TO INSTALL AN HP PHOTOSMART D5360 PRINTER,
BUT
WINDOWS WON'T FIND THE DRIVER SOFTWARE. I HAVE GONE TO HP SUPPORT WEBPAGE
AND
DOWNLOADED THE DRIVERS BUT IT STILL WON'T FIND THEM. CAN ANYONE TELL ME
HOW
TO FIX THE PROBLEM?
PLEASE DON'T SHOUT.
The drivers are typically a bunch of files; HP typically compresses them all
into one big file which you have to run in order to put the individual files
in the right places so Windows can find them.
When you downloaded the Vista drivers, did you follow the rest of the
instructions on the download page? There might have been something like:
At the end of saving the file, run the file or go to the directory where the
file was saved in order to run it. If security warnings are received, they
may be caused by settings in the computer. Continue to run the file.
Note: File is compressed and may take time to expand and run.
