Printer-HP Officejet 500

I've read the help section of installing my HP Officejet 500. It can not be done with the wizard, but has to be done manually. Does anyone know how I'd find out the proper driver to install so the HP Officejet 500 will work. It is not among the list of printers included on the XP pro compatible program...Ethylene

Well, all you do is go to the hp web site and search for your model of
printer under drivers and dowloads. Here is the link to your XP driver for
your printer model.

I am not familiar with the Officejet 500 but it sounds like it's an older
discontinued models. Providing you only want the printer portion of this
printer to work I would manually choose any one of the HP DeskJet 500
models. As far as the Fax or Scan portion.....if that is what it has, I do
not think there are drivers that will work with Windows XP.

I downloaded the recommended pack from HP earlier this evening, and as
you can see I'm still here...lol. In XP there is a driver for an HP
Office Jet, that one works.
