printer/file sharing problem

I have 2 computers networked through a Linksys router.
Both can use my broadband connection without any problem.

One computer has XP, the second has 98.

I ran networking wizard on the XP machine, followed the
prompts, selecting the option for connecting to a
residential gateway.

I created a network wizard disk, and ran in on the second
cpu (win 98).

Neither computer sees the other on the network. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

1. Permanently disable ICF on the XP PC. Also, at least while
debugging this problem, remove (uninstall) all firewall and
antivirus apps on both PCs.
2. Enable the DHCP server on the router, and set both PCs to
be DHCP clients.
3. Make sure both PCs use the same workgroup name.
4. Make sure both PCs use TCP/IP with NetBIOS enabled over TCP/IP.
5. Make sure neither PC uses IPX/SPX or NetBEUI.
6. Make sure both PCs have F&P sharing and Client for M$ nets enabled.
