Printer Driver

I have an OkiData ml 184 Turbo dot matrix printer. I don't have the proper
driver for it. I'm using a generic driver on Windows XP. Can anyone help me
to find the proper driver for a serial hookup. I've looked just about
everywhere including OkiData.com - no luck so far. The printer will not work
on a parallel hookup. I appreciate any help. Email (e-mail address removed).

Have you tried the ML 182 driver, included in XP:

Cari, I can't find an ML 182 driver on XP. However, I did try ML 192 and Oki
ML 182 Elite (IBM). Both printed one line of gibberish and then fed the form
out of the printer.

Oki say the only drivers are included in XP... from their website:

The drivers may not be in a windows OEM version. Had this happen with an HP
laptop awhile ago. (Plenty of obsolete HP drivers though.)

In my WinXP, the ML184-driver is located in the Okidata-section (and
not the Oki-section).

If the ML184 is like the rest of the ML1xx series, you'll have to
remove the serial interface for the parallel interface to work
properly.
