I am trying to install HP5610v all in one on my acer laptop winxp home sp2.
it installs fine on all other computers. I keep receiving "Printer driver
setup error. Cannot create a file when that file already exists." I have:
removed all HP software from add/remove programs. removed all other printers/
software and drivers from computer from device manager. Downloaded updated
package. called HP, they were no help. I am looking in wrong area, i just
dont know where to look. Can anyone help.

I am also getting this error reinstalling the drivers for an HP LaserJet
1300: "Cannot create a file when that file already exists". I have installed
using the CD drivers that shipped with the printer, and also try the latest
drivers downloaded from HP.com. I have followed the steps in the Windows XP
Printing Troubleshoot Wizard, uninstalled the old driver, deleted the printer
from the print folder and device manager, and rebooted the computer a few
times. Please let me know if you find a solution to this problem.
