Printer Driver Help

B

Bob C

I am on my third month since purchasing my ACER 5315-2326 laptop with Vista
Basic. When I first installed my Cannon BJC-210 driver it worked perfectly
and now since my last windows update it does not work anymore. Before the
last update I had no problems and was able to print successfully even though
the drivers are from Windows 95/98. Does anyone out there have a solution?
I went to the Cannon website and they were no help other than to buy a new
printer. This printer still works and again worked before my last windows
update. Also food for fodder, before this laptop my last one was installed
with Windows XP and had no problem whatsoever printing. Help I don't want to
buy a new printer, I don't need to!

Remove the printer, uninstall the driver, connect the printer and see if
Vista recognizes the printer and installs a working driver.

If this does not work the reinstall the latest driver from Cannon's web site
(yes I know it says Win98/ME), but it has an revision date of early this
year so it's worth a try.
