Printed image comes out small

When I do a print screen and then paste it into Paint or Word or Ifranview
and then try to print it, the printed image comes out small on a 8 1/2 X 11
sheet of paper. How do I make the image come out to fill the whole sheet of
paper instead of a small portion?

If I have an image - from whatever source, including pasting it into a
just-opened empty IrfanView - and select print, and choose Best fit to
page (aspect ratio), it does fill the page (width or height, depending
on what shape the image is and whether I select Portrait or Landscape).
If going for a full page, I'd also select Centered, but that's not
obligatory.

The only reason I can see for it doing as you say, assuming you _have_
selected Best fit to page, is that the image you are working with is
mostly white, with the image you think you're working with in one
corner.

How are you doing the screen capture _and pasting_? I would use the
PrtScn key, then immediately open IrfanView and do Ctrl-V. Nothing else
(certainly not Paint or Word) in between.

When in IrfanView after you've pasted, try pressing F (I mean the letter
F key, not any of the function keys F1-F12).
