Print Target option

Part 1:
I'm trying to find out if I have any options in how the
Print Target option works in IE. For example, when I
right-click an Excel file (e.g. - from a web page) and
select Print Target, on some PCs the Excel program opens
and then the spreadsheet prints. On other PCs the Excel
file doesn't open and it still prints the spreadsheet.

Part 2:
In looking for an answer to this I don't seem to be
able to find even any basic information about how the
Print Target option is supposed to work. Nothing in the
Microsoft KB, the Microsoft Premier site, or even on the
web. Can anyone direct me to some reference information
about how this is supposed to work? Thanks.
