Print Processor Does Not Exist

Windows XP Home W/SP2. Try to install HP Laserjet 1012 at end of
installation get Error message "Print Processor Does Not Exist". Can't not
find an earlier restore point that corrects this. Have been told that I must
completely remove and reinstall the Operating system. Is there any where/way
that I can find the "Printer Processor for Win XP" and just reinstall this
component?

Byte,
Sorry, been there done that! I either have to find away to reinstall the
Print Processor in Windows XP or do a complete reinstall of the operating
system - Sp2 and subsequent update/fixes.

I would not immediately start a new install of XP when a repair may be
possible to fix it. In that the error states that the processor does not
exist,
you may have corrupt or missing files. Check the below website first or
scan for missing or corrupt files.

Start>Run>type sfc /scannow (space between c and /)
and click OK. Have your WindowsXP CD ready to insert.
