I found the following after doing some searching, but they don't seem to
apply to my version of Windows 2000.
(1) http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;272623 (windows
server)
(2) http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=321379 (windows xp)
I'm running Windows 2000 SP4 on my pc at work. I'm trying to add a "print
directory" feature. I did a search and found the above two MS articles
which explain how to do this, however, I don't seem to have the version of
Windows that they apply to. In (1) above, I don't have the option of "File
Folder" in my list of file types and therefore don't have the same choices.
Even if I force it to use File Folder, the options don't exist as explained
in the document After reading (2), it seems to require the same file type,
so it doesn't appear to be suitable for my OS.
Any ideas on how to do a print directory that doesn't requires days of
editing to arrive at a useful listing - easy to read. Back in the olden
days, WordPerfect had a feature where you could export the directories to a
table or a tabbed layout. Has MS come up with something like this, (it's
more than a decade later). I found a utility that creates a text file, but
the files isn't particular pleasant to read through. It's really more
useful useful as a text search tool, but certainly not good as an
organizational tool
Thanks so much if you can help or offer suggestions.
