Print A1 size on an A4 Printer from Word

I seem to remember that years ago you could set your A4 printer to split up a
document and print an image/poster/document so that the whole document was A1
size, but this was made up of multiple sheets of A4 that you stuck together
to form the larger image.

I cant see this feature in Word, or Office, or Adobe reader, is it possible
in other applications, or via utilities?

Word does not support tiling documents; Publisher does, and some printer
drivers also offer this feature. You might explore your printer Properties
to see if "poster printing" is mentioned.
