Presentation with links to MP3's..but I want to run it on other co

Hi

I need to create a presentation for a job application where it will be
reviewed by an "assessor". The deadline is Friday.

I have created a 4 slide presentation and 4 MP3 files.
I have told each slide the path of the MP3 file I want it to play when the
slide is on display.

But

If I want these MP3 files to work then that would mean the "assessor" has to
have the files in exactly the same location as I had them........which isn't
going to happen if I submit my presentation by e-mail - who knows where the
"assessor" will download it to.

The only way I can think of getting around that is to put the MP3's and
presentation on a floppy disk and post it with a sticker saying "Must be ran
off Floppy Disk".

But that would mean I have to post it today.........a day and a half less to
work on it than if I was e-mailing.

So does anyone know how I can get over this "location of MP3 files" issue
and be able to e-mail the presentation?

If you put the mp3 files in a folder with the presentation and then insert
them and email the folder it will work or alternatively have a read of

I have installed CDex and when I tell it to convert --> Add Riff-Wavs header
it comes up with the error message:

Extention of file C:\Documents and Settings\Phil\Desktop\Music
Files\Chosen\Worktogether does not match MPEG Layer Tag, File conversion has
been aborted Invalid MP3 file

Yet if I tell windows to search for *.mp3 these files come up in search
results

Do you know what I am doing wrong?

The problem I've got with the solution you mentioned is that I don't use
Outlook. I've only got Yahoo Mail.
So when I enter an e-mail address I get the error messages

Run-time error '32003'
Login has failed

No profiles have been created. To create a new profile, use the Mail icon
in the Control Panerl


Do you know what I am doing wrong?

Hi Austin

I've tried yours again. This time I created a profile in Control Panel like
it suggested. That lets me take the add-in further....but

Even if I put the PPS file and MP3 files in the same directory, working
perfectly using the original files.........after I have used the addin and
opened the "kind of zipped" presentation......the MP3's don't come on.

I would prefer your method because the final product is less messy/simpler
for the assessor.

But at the moment any solution would do!

Sorry if I'm getting this wrong, but most people this day and age are
familiar with zip files. Create a folder, put your powerpoint file and
mp3's in the same folder, make sure your sound links in the file point
to the new location and not the old one, test. if it works...

Zip the danged file and send that as the attachment. Let the recipient
know that the main file and the music files need to live together and
you should be done.
