PPT video Experts, Here's a challage for you.

I made a power point slide that has 1 video file ( which plays automatically
) and 4 sentences. Each sentence has a fly in enterance effect. Ex. Every
time I press on the down arrow one of the sentences appears on the screen.
The problem that I have is this: everytime i use the down arrow to bring a
sentence on the screen while the video is playing , it pauses the video. I
have to go back and click on the video to play it again from the point where
it paused. I would like to make each sentences to
appear on the screen during my presentation when I want them to appear by
using down arrow without pausing the video.

I asked a number of people and they couldn't help me.

The reason this is happening is that the media player has the "focus" so all
keyboard and mouse activities are sent to it. A click anywhere on the slide
will return the focus to PPT.

Is there anyway, that I can turn off the focus from the media player to ppt
completely. I understood by clicking on the slide all the focus will be on
ppt. The powerpoint would not play smoothly if to this. For instnace, it
would be something like
1) video play
2) ideo pause due to enterance
3) video play due to the click on the slide
4) video pause due to the enterance.

The viewer will get bored and tired of too many pauses on the video. Imagine
someone pauses your TV every 30 seconds.

Hmmm, do you have "Continue Skide Show": selected in the animationd for the
video?

What version of PPT are you using? In PPT 2003 this will be no problem, but
earlier versions I am uncertain how to do.

Also, your sentences are not attempting to go on top of the videos are they?
(this is not possible in PPT).
