PPT should let me do a live presentation online without my audience seeing
ahead of slides. My counterpart & I should be able to do a split screen
between a webcam conversation and the PPT slides which I control and present
while I'm talking via webcam.

There are programs and systems that allow you do do what you wish but these
are not designed into any version of PPT. You would have to pay a lot more
than the asking price for PPT to do what you want.
