Ppt 2003 start-up in safe mode

Using XP SP3 each time I start up a belated message appears telling me that
there is a problem with Powerpoint inviting me to start it up in Safe Mode.
The problem is that I do not have Ppt in any start up routine and don't want
to start Powerpoint anyway. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Steve, I really appreciate you for replying. I let it go through including
send error report. Did several times, no improvement. Then tried your
suggested autoruns. I searched through it but couldn't find Powerpoint at any
startup, in any case I am not all that computer savvy to muck around in
Registry files.
I will just live with it
Thank you again.

Thanks for coming back Steve. The error report is humungous with several
hundred lines with a lot of adresses and hexadecimal coding.
The problem started when a technician loaded Office2007 on my PC in error. I
wanted Office2003. So we removed 2007 and loaded 2003. On the first reboot
the problem started.
I think I will just live with it, perhaps Microsoft might one day respond to
the error report.
Thanks again Steve
Regards Mary
