Powerpoint upgrade

Eric

I am buying Powerpoint 2003. The MS website says owners
of MS Works Suite 2004 can buy the Powerpoint Upgrade
version, rather than pay twice as much for the Full
version. Does this mean that with the upgrade version I
am actually buying a full version (since I don't
currently have any version) for half price because I own
a qualifying MS product, or am I misunderstanding this
situation?

What it really means (Probably) is that the software will look for Works
2004 already installed on the computer before it'll install, but--yes--it'll
be a full version.

Hope this helps!

Yes,
http://www.microsoft.com/office/editions/howtobuy/professional.mspx#XSLTsection127121120120
says that you can use Works Suite 2004 as a qualifier for Office 2003.

But you said PowerPoint 2003.
http://www.microsoft.com/office/powerpoint/howtobuy/default.mspx#XSLTsection126121120120
says that Works Suite 2004 is a qualifier for the PPT 2003 Upgrade for $109
USD.

Looks like you're in good shape. You'll be purchasing a PPT 2003 Upgrade,
but it is indeed a fully featured version of PPT. It's the same as if you
purchased PPT 2003 itself, but since you own a qualifying product (Works
Suite 2004), you're getting a price break.
