Because a PowerPoint presentation doesn't work with the erectly same
speed on every PC, if you have a wave-file from the beginning to end
(my presentation is about 19 minutes), I need to convert a PowerPoint
presentation to a avi-file.
I have tried different programs to do this job but there are problems
with all of them. The best program I've found is Camtasia Studio. The
typical problems are that the picture is "lagging" and there are holes
in the sound. I also lost the smooth transition from one picture to
the next picture.
Is there any solution for this problem?

Vidar,

Have you tried all the tips and tricks for how to get the best out of
Camtasia?

I find that it's better to add the sound on later using camtasia studio
timeline feature, and not try to grab the sound from your powerpoint
presentation.

Also for DVD you only need to capture at 800x600 pixels
