Folks I hope you can forgive me for using the news group to announce our new
add in for PowerPoint but I believe it will be huge boon to anyone using
multimedia (movies and sounds) in their PowerPoint presentations.
Most of the news group regulars will know I fiddle with multimedia in
PowerPoint a bit and like many of you I have been bitten by media that
either can't be inserted in my presentation or the presentation fails when
sent to others. Our new add in, PFCMedia solves those problems and adds
additional functionality never used before in PowerPoint.
The add in automatically processes all standard Windows media files into a
format compatible with PowerPoint and the PowerPoint viewers, ensures better
linking by storing the media with the presentation, and SIGNIFICANTLY
reduces the file size of the media.
We have also added the ability to play DVD's, use a web cam for live video,
and use streaming media delivered from within your presentation. You no
longer are forced to include the media with the presentation, you can simply
send out a presentation with a link to your streaming media and it plays for
certain on the receiving computer.
