I have a powerpoint presentation where when I click on next on slide #5 it
takes me back to slide #1 and it should go to slide #6.. Why would this bee
happening? How can I fix this?

Did you insert any hyperlinks? If yes, you have to fix those.

Have you checked the setting in slide show > set up show??

(Could it be slides 1 -5 & loop eg?)
