Powerpoint presentation causing screen objects to jump & blink

While createing a Powerpoint presentation, after adding a picture to the
presentation the presentation now causes all programs and screens to blink
and flash... simiular to when you change resolution settings on your monitor.
It is to the point that I can not even work in this presentation as it
continues to jump and blink. The blinking stops once I minimize the screen.

Does anyone have any idea what can be done to prevent this?

UPDATE: I updated the graphics hardware acceleration and the problem seemed
to go away... at least for now.

Thanks for reporting back what worked for you.

You could also try updating your 'graphics card drivers' - then you can
probably put the hardware acceleration back to the max.

I actually did try updating the drivers prior to updaing the graphics
hardware acceleration however there were no updates available.

Sometimes, (and I dont understand why) after moving the acelleration down and
fixing the problem you can put it back and it stays fixed.
