Powerpoint Graph Error

Hi

Trying to solve a problem with recently installed Office 2007 Student.

When choosing to create a graph, then selecting the graph type I wish to
create it gives an error pop stating :

"To insert a chart, you must first close any open dialogue boxes or cancel
editing mode in Microsoft Excel"

anyone know how to correct this glitch?

gogsy,
Are you using Vista, I seem to recall there are some problems using graphs
in PowerPoint. Does it help if you start Excel first and then try to create
the graph in PPT. Have you got anti-virus program controlling Office files,
then try to disable it.

I believe this issue has been fixed in the past by running Office
Diagnostics. Open PPT, go to Office Button | PPT Options | Resources and run
Diagnostics there.

Also be sure to apply SP1 for Office 2007.
